Good keyboard, tiring mouse

Strengths: -Slim and compact -Great range -Both keyboard and mouse work without lag. -Neat dual-use mouse technology: Use like a traditional mouse or in midair.

Weakness: -Some keys (tab, backspace, etc.) aren't big enough. -Limited Mac support -No security features -Mouse gets tiring after a while

I bought this set to use with a home theater PC setup (with a Mac Mini as the centerpiece).

The range for both the keyboard and mouse were great. The keyboard is small yet comfortable enough to type on, with the exception of one or two keys (tab and backspace) that could've been a bit bigger.

The keyboard worked well in a HTPC setup. It didn't take up too much room and typing was comfortable.

On the other hand, I wasn't too fond of the mouse. It works as advertised, with two very cool usage modes: You can use it on your desk as a regular optical mouse or you acn pick it up and wave it around in midair to control the cursor. The second method is what Gyration is known for, and I have to admit that in a wireless presentation environment, the mouse would probably be a great tool.

Unfortunately, in an HTPC environment, prolonged midair use of the mouse simply gets tiring too soon. You can't just hold it and wave it about freely, either; you have to exert force and keep the trigger button depressed while you move, making the whole process rather tiring. There are wireless keyboards out there with integrated touchpads or "joysticks", which may or may not be better choices depending on your needs. So think about how you're going to use the a wireless set before you buy one, and (if you're uncertain) buy it from a place that accepts returns.

You may end up loving this set, or you may (like me) wish that it was just a bit more natural and a bit less tiring to use.

And as a last note, the Mac OS X support for this set is limited. They both WORK, but you can't customize the more advanced functions or set up gestures the way you can in Windows.

GO AIR MOUSE COMPACT KYBD SUITE

Strengths: Very responsive, cool looking, very easy to use

Weakness: Not all functions work in Mac

The only problem i have is taht when i use mac, the function is not as available as when i use PC but i am still working on it. Overall, this is very useful to have, especially if you are a teacher in modern classroom.

good in the air mouse, bad battery

Strengths: very precise and accurate motion mouse, full size compact keyboard.

Weakness: bad battery life

go air mouse is easy to use once you get the hang of it. moving it around in mid air, the cursor glides smoothly and accurately. it almost felt like you have a 3D mouse pad. the full size keyboard is good for extra input such as typing, etc. I found the battery life on the mouse to be well below average. only last about 2 days max.

an improved go mouse

Strengths: compact semi full size keyboard, multiple and programmable buttons on mouse. rechargeable, mid air control

this is the second air mouse I have used from gyration and I really prefer this model over the older one. the new one is lighter, has more buttons (6 totals)and programmable. the design also give you a better grip of the mouse. the keyboard design is almost identical except one thing: ability to change channel is gone, but I don't miss it one bit. battery life which hinders the old model...

this is the second air mouse I have used from gyration and I really prefer this model over the older one. the new one is lighter, has more buttons (6 totals)and programmable. the design also give you a better grip of the mouse. the keyboard design is almost identical except one thing: ability to change channel is gone, but I don't miss it one bit. battery life which hinders the old model performance also effect the new model. clearly, gyration is using AA nimh battery, but they didn't make it easily interchangeable which requires user the buy the expensive battery pack from them. the transceiver also need to be attached to a usb extender otherwise i get sporadic connections when plugged right into my desktop usb.

A MUST FOR EVERY CLASSROOM

Strengths: You aren't stuck behind a computer - you can float through your classroom

Weakness: Getting used to the movements

I absolutely LOVE my gyration wireless set!! It allows me the freedom to roam around my classroom while presenting information to my students. I can stand near my "problem students" to keep them from being disruptive all while clicking through my presentations. This is a must for every modern classroom!
