Should have known!
Strengths: This disc has SP3 and therefore should eliminate the need for slipstreaming to repair a XP installation from an SP2 version. That was my intention.
Weakness: Weakness the "repair" failed to authenticate.
XP has proven to be MS's most reliable OS to date yet Mr. Gates seems determined to make our lives as miserable as possible all the while he enjoys the profits. This SP3 (OEM) is another example. It was purchased to save time and the effort of slipstreaming an SP2 (OEM) to repair a non-boot on a current install of mine. All went fine until the installation tried to boot for the first time. Strengths: works well with most programs very solid tried and true operating system best of all windows operating systems
Weakness: none that Ive found yet
Do a complete install format to ntfs and there will be no problems most people have problems with the upgrade versions or formatting to fat32
