Good Value Processor, but there are better
Strengths: Good overall performance, easy-to-install, works well with Intel DG33TL, runs cool
Weakness: needs more cache
Good performance, but there are faster processors around for little more money. Still, it installed easily and performs well overall. Got a 5.2 on Windows Experience Index for processor. Installed it into an Intel DG33TL motherboard without a problem. Runs very cool and reliably.

Best budget CPU!
Strengths: Fast, 9.5 multi, best bang for your money, can be easily overclocked from 2.53 to 3.6 ghz, 45nm...
Weakness: none that I have found. It has a lower cache, but let's be real, it doesn't make that much difference specially if you overclock it.
I was debating between e4500 and e4600 but then this baby came out and it was an easy choice. I got it for a great price. This thing is very cheap for what it does. If you are thinking about building a budget PC, forget the e2*** series and stick with this one. The new quad cores are not worth it at all, specially with the very low multi they have, stick with this dual core (or the e8400 if you...

Great budget processor
Strengths: Inexpensive but runs cool and fast
Weakness: Would've been nice if it had more cache
I needed to put together a new HTPC for my media room within a small budget, and had decided on this processor or a E2180 for half the price. I ended up going with the E7200 since it was 45nm (newer technology) and was faster out of the box. I have it installed on a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L motherboard and works great. I watch alot of 1080p HD material and it has no problems decoding it, even at...

Excellent bargain C2D processor
Strengths: Amazingly overclockable, 45nm design emits less heat
Weakness: none
The Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 provides you excellent bang for the buck. After receiving it, I easily took it up to 4GHz stable with just a few voltage bumps. The temperature runs must lower than the former E4xxx series processors.

bang for buck
Strengths: 45nm architecture (wolfdale), 2.53 ghz dual core processor, sufficient stock intel HSF
Weakness: compared to the E8400: less L2 cache (3 vs 6 MB), slower FSB (1066 vs 1333 mhz); Core 2 Duo line/platform will be end-of-life when the new Core i7 is readily available.
I was looking for a cheap upgrade (from an AMD X2 4200+) and the E7200 is a capable and affordable chip. In games, my 8800GT was limited by my previous AMD processor. This new intel processor allows me to fully realize the capabilities of the 8800GT. I paired this with a Gigabyte motherboard and Corsair DDR2 ram and utilized components from my previous system. It's a good upgrade for ~$250 total...
