Weakness: Scroll wheel is loose. I recommend taking the spring out, but only if you know how.
Comes with a USB converter so you can use it with your mouse port or your USB port. Very comfortable, very affordable, very easy to use. The laser on the bottom will function on any surface except reflective ones, because on reflective surfaces the beam bounces back and your mouse will go crazy. Restricted to a Very Small Budget?...
Strengths: Comfortable; designed for both right- and left-handed use; priced for the budget conscious.
Weakness: Loses tracking when moved too quickly; would like to see more precision at higher speeds.
Restricted to a Very Small Budget? You Can Still Get an Optical Mouse. The experience with my first optical mouse got off to a bit of a shaky start. I decided to try the PS/2 connection and after half-an-hour of trying to get the scroll wheel to work, I sent an email to Microsoft tech support. A short while later I remembered to try the USB port.
