The fifth entry in the gonzo racing series, Burnout Paradise gives players license to wreak havoc in Paradise City, the ultimate racing battleground, with a massive infrastructure of traffic-heavy roads to abuse. Gone is the need to jump in and out of menus and aimlessly search for fun like many open world games; in Burnout 5, every inch of the world is built to deliver heart-stopping Burnout-style gameplay. Every intersection is a potential crash junction and every alleyway is an opportunity to rack up moving violations. Feel the adrenaline course through your veins as you take to the road for the first time in Paradise City, where the action is all around you. Explore the city, discover events, and look for the best opportunities to crash, jump and pull signature takedowns. In Burnout Paradise yo''re given the keys to the city, but it's up to you to earn the keys to the meanest and most dangerous cars on the street, and earn your Burnout license.

Burnout is back!

Strengths: Great HD Graphics, open world, online challenges, fantastic controls.

Weakness: Open world, cant retry a race, crash mode is missing.

Burnout is back with the 5th game in the series, Burnout Paradise. This time pretty much everything has changed. Crash mode is gone, and the game is located in one huge city called Paradise City. There are over 120 different races and 350 online challenges! You will be playing the game for at least 50 hours if you want to beat this game. Also after you complete a race, you are not able to...

Was The Change A Good Thing?

Strengths: Nice graphics and MP challenges.

Weakness: Repetitive racing and need buddies to play with online.

I really wish that they kept with the old formula for burnout. The wide open Grand Theft Auto game play just didn't fit for this game. The city is huge and it takes a long time to get to a certain point on a map. Racing from point to point is way to repetitive and gets old after a week of play. Multi-player is really a blast when you have your friends playing. That's if you could get them to play...

Ain't What It Used To Be

Strengths: Great Graphics, Awesome Car Crashes, Online

Weakness: Low Angle Camera, Open World, No Crash Mode

Although some people may enjoy the changes that have come to this new addition to the Burnout series, I for one do not. For me, the camera angle is way too low. I can barely see the cars and obstacles in front of me. The open-world factor isn't too great either. It takes a while to drive from one race to another, so it feels like they put it in there just to take up time. One of the things that I...

Decent, Although Less-Than-Expected Game

Strengths: * Good Game-Play * Lots of Races / Big Map * Okay Graphics

Weakness: * ONE PLAYER ??! * Poor Online Set-up

It's a decent game, but I expected much more after being hooked on Burnout 3. Stupidly, I didn't even look in the store to see how many players (I figured it would be multiple like 3 was). That's my biggest disappointment with the game - that it's one-player.

Times making changes

Strengths: Great gameplay, graphics, sense of speed, online integration

Weakness: Not really "Burnout"

I am very divided on this game. On the one hand, it is one of the fastest, most exhilarating racing games I've ever played. The ability to instantly jump in and out of online play, the massive city to race in and explore, the wonderful sense of speed... it all just clicks. However, there are some problems that do come up. Races can quite literally take place from one end of the city to the other....
