HP w2207 Monitor

Strengths: Brightview clear screen, colors and text flawless, great monitor stand rotates to portrait and landscape positions, built-in speakers.

Weakness: Buggy pivot control software for rotating monitor.

This is by far the best monitor I have used. I ordered it directly from HP. It has a beautiful brightview clear screen with a nice shiny black bezel around it. I develop software for a living and use this monitor more than 12 hours a day. The supplied pivot software for rotating monitor is buggy, especially after updating video drivers. It does not always work right and support to get it to work...

This is the best widescreen out there

Strengths: Beautiful colors, extremely sharp, great contrast ratio, highly adjustable stand, USB ports, screen can rotate 90 degrees.

Weakness: High-gloss screen reflects lights from behind easily. Default settings must be turned way down. Provided software is buggy (even at ver. 1.11).

Before this monitor I had tried Samsung's 226bw for a week, a comparable widescreen offering. This screen is much better. It has no bad pixels at all, and this is common with these units I read. Movies...

mixed bag

Strengths: USB included, bright,

Weakness: major problems with calibration, text rendering

Display on my new iMac was perfect straight out of the box, no need to adjust anything, this wasn't by ANY measure. Grossly washed out, very harsh on the eyes text. After one hour of trying to calibrate this monitor (Somehow HP was too lazy to include a predefined color profile), much improvement but still far from what I see on my iMac. So despite my best efforts I have two screens now sitting...

WOW, awesome lcd monitor

Strengths: -bright and sharp -no ghosting -very stylis at a reasonable price -"plug n play" for me under Win px. Automatically calibrate to match my setting at native resolution: using radeon 9550 with dvi

Weakness: -when viewing at an angle, the side looks a bit yellowish...Maybe i just have to mess around wit the setting abit more

I did so much research on 22' flat panels based on price, reliability, and picture quality. I narrowed down on a few 22's included: samsung 22' cw series, hanns.g, viewsonic, and HP. My initial choice was the hanns.g(price=230) 22' w/ Hdmi input, read the reviews on various sites: newegg, cnet, etc and user reviews were all positive and relatively cheap for 22'. Reason I didn't get the hannsg is...
