Great RAM at a Great Price

Strengths: Price; different heatspreader design; worked out of the box

I got this RAM kit while prices were plummeting and have been very happy with them. For one, although they are supposed to run at 2.1v, on my Asus P5B-E motherboard they booted at the default 1.8v which gave me the opportunity to go into the BIOS and up the voltage to 2.1. Sounds simple, but there are quite a few sticks of RAM out there that won't boot up at 1.8v (at least on certain motherboards), meaning you will need a spare stick of RAM just to get into your BIOS to increase the voltage so that your 2.1v sticks will work.

The voltage is important to consider because a lot of people that have problems with these or similar RAM kits don't realize that they're meant to run at higher voltage. Especially considering that you won't find the required vDIMM written anywhere on the product packaging; you have to go to the manufacturer's website to see the specifications.

Sure enough, once I set vDIMM to 2.1 and timings to 4-4-4-12, a few hours of memtest showed 0 errors. Granted, some sticks are just DOA, but if you don't increase the voltage on these to the specified 2.1, you can't say that your sticks are bad.

I can't say anything about the overclocking abilities of this model since I have no need to take my FSB over 400MHz in the foreseeable future.

Overall, this is a solid set.

Nice DDR2 PC2 6400 memory

Strengths: With heat sink; working flawlessly

Weakness: NA

The OCZ 2x1GB PC2-6400 memory sticks work flawlessly out of box, in dual channel mode. They give a little more space for overcloking my system. What's more, each stick comes with headsink on both sides which most other RAMs don't have. They feel pretty solid, are also well-priced, and come with lifetime warranty.

Very good RAM!

Strengths: Heat sink, 800mhz, very well priced, lifetime warranty! Worked perfectly right when I put it in!

I got this RAM a few days ago and I only bought 2GB. Now, I have ordered another 2 GB realizing how good it is. It works perfectly!

Very stable RAM, a reasonably good overclocker.

Strengths: Lifetime warranty; Works Good. Very Stable @ the recommended settings of 4-4-4-15

Weakness: Not for hardcore overclocking. Mail-in-rebates are nasty.

Very satisfied, for the money its a good buy, runs as advertised or better. It has a good harmony with my PC(Inspiron 531s; AMD 64x2). To get the most out of this RAM you should change RAM voltage to 2.0v.
