Buyer beware - blatant bait and switch! We paid for some Dell branded memory, which they said was in stock and "DELL ORIGINAL". Later the same day I received the following email: "Currently, this exact item is not available in this specific part number. However, we have a 100% compatible memory with same specs, and with life time warranty. 3rd Party. We will process your order and ship it accordingly unless requested otherwise." Total bait and switch! We paid a premium for original (non 3rd party) product, which they said they had in stock. They were then going to ship us 3rd party memory without any approval on our part. |

They have terrible customer service. I have been waiting for a order since October 5 and I was told that it was in stock. I was sent a defective part and I paid for it to be overnight ed back to them. I was told the replacement part was shipped out and it was a lie. I had to call to follow up and I spoke to Erick and Mary and they both insisted it had been shipped out. After calling several time and informing them that they had not provided me with tracking information. Nothing was shipped out, no one informed me that that the part was not available. I received a email yesterday stating that the part was not shipped. This company is an extremely unprofessional company. |

I ordered a fan for a 5 year old IBM laptop on June 1, 2010. FedEx ground was delivered on June 7th. Unfortunately I was shipped the wrong part. I tried calling the telephone number, only to get a loud squealing noise. I used their website form to request an RMA. I also emailed trying to find out if they have the correct part. I received their automated RMA Receipt Confirmationþ on June 8th, stating I should give them 1 or 2 days to get back to me. On June 10th, 2 1/2 days after the RMA request, I still hadn't heard from them. I finally got through on their telephone system, only to get an answering maching. I left a message that included the order number and my telephone number. I have placed an order with another vendor for the part already. I would have appreciated the right part, a more timely RMA and someone that answers the phone when their support number is called. Use this site only if you have time and money to waste! |

BUYER BEWARE. Don't trust the inventory system. Prices look great but my order was not filled. The items listed in-stock so I purchased two monitors and shipped 2nd Day Air. I received a confirmation but not any shipping information. After waiting until noon the next day I called only to find out they had not even process the order. In this day and age an order not processed tells me they are very inefficient and disorganized. To their credit the gentleman on the phone was nice but said they did not have the monitors in stock and they were cancelling the order. If you absolutely need computer parts and on- time, don't buy here. |

I needed to have a hard drive overnighted for a client that really needed this exact model number and this was one of the few companies that had it. All reviews looked good so I went ahead with using this company. It said all orders needed to be in by 2pm. I had my order in by 11:40am and thought I was safe. I waited for my overnight 10am delivery that never showed up. I called the company who said the vender missed the overnight delivery time yesterday and they would only charge me for the 2 day cost instead of overnight. Price was not the issue, only time was. So now I sit here on a Friday and won't be getting my hard drive until monday. I would not recommend using them if you need something the next day! |

I called this company and spoke to someone called Kazim, I just wanted to get confirmation of stock and price before I place my order, I was asked over the phone to send them an email so a could get this confirmation. I sent this email a couple of days now, still nothing, no answer from them. Finally I'm not suprised about the other bad feedbacks on them. Communication is IMPORTANT when you run a business. |

I placed my order, for a motherboard, and have not heard a thing yet besides an email stating that I placed an order. No tracking number, no response to an email I sent to the sales dept to find out where my order is and now no one answers the phone no matter what extension I press. I'm to the point where I want to cancel my order by I can't get anyone to respond to cancel the order. I really just want my motherboard so I can finish the computer I'm working on but I'm stuck in limbo. Never again with upgradebay.com. If something changes I will report back. |

Item listed in stock. Next business day after ordering hadn't received tracking. Called. Item to ship today, tracking to be emailed. Called following day, assured me item had shipped, tracking forthcoming, and the following. Next call was to cancel. Then offered me free overnight shipping. Aha! Item had NOT shipped. Only took order, payment, then contacted supplier who was to ship directly, had delay. Aha! Item NOT in stock, not stocked at all. Charged restocking fee even though item never shipped or stocked! TOS carefully crafted to permit. Unreliable, dishonest, disreputable. Cust svc nonexistent until voicemail to cancel, THEN got phone calls, attention, pleading not to. Suspect at least some favorable reviews phony plants. Not credible anyone could have 50 orders at ANY company, never a problem. Since 2005 inception only about 50 reviews. Retrospect, should've recognized, taken this as indication UB not enjoying repeats because customers NOT satisfied. Never again consider UB. Retailer Response (10/07/2008): Customer purchased a processor and requested ground delivery (5-7 business days). When the customer called for status of shipment he was informed that he would receive his order within his expected delivery time frame as committed (5-7 business days). It seemed as if he had purchased the product elsewhere and just wanted to cancel. We offered to upgrade the shipment at our expense in order to get it delivered to the customer even prior to his expected delivery commitment date. But the customer still insisted on canceling the order which was already processed, we therefore issued a credit based on our TC. |

I wanted to buy the brand-new Seagate Cheetah 15K.6 drives, and UpgradeBay seemed to be the first to get them in stock, on 5/27. I placed an order for four drives at $392 each. They claim they e-mailed me the next day to cancel the order because it wasn't in stock "anymore". Their e-mail bounced, because their system apparently removed some of the characters - though they claim there couldn't be any bugs in their system. They also claim that they DID eventually get it in, last week, but they sold all their drives to one person, and that they don't think they'll have it in again, despite the fact that they still list the product on their web site (at three times the price), and that their PriceGrabber feed even shows it as "in stock", and that they're advertising "Big sale on" for the product SKU on Google! When I pointed out the illegality of advertising products you don't carry, their customer service rep said "What am I supposed to do about it?" Nothing, Joe. Nothing. |

Good part: I am not sure..but I was lucky..until now..i didnt get my product yet..so didnt know its ok or not..However...there stock wasnt always updated in website according to some review..so i ordered through phone..and I was lucky that particular Hard disk was in stock..and the sales person was nice on the first day..i placed ordered on 9:52 am PST and the sales person confirmed me that the shipment will process on that same day..He emailed me the order number and promised me to email the invoice and tracking number on that day... Bad part: From Monday and today is Thursday I am call ing them evry day 2 to 3 times...to get the invoice and tracking number..some times he is busy and sometimes he told me my email was not working as he sent me the invoice ..well i also gave him an alternative email..on tuesday..well,no sign of invoice..And forgot about the tracking number...and on thusrday I just found that the orderd is shipped on yesterday afternoon...i got the trck on ph.. |

I should have listened to all the negative reviews, but I was swayed by the positive reviews. This company appears to be a crapshoot. Do you feel lucky? My product was listed as "in stock" and I paid for express 3-day delivery. In four days I called, and after a lot of work with the speed dial finally got through. They called back to say that the product was discontinued and offered a substitute. I said that the substitute was OK and they promised to ship immediately. Here we are a couple of weeks later and still no memory. Just got off the phone with them and they can't tell if the part is in stock because the inventory program won't be up for another 15 minutes. Right. They claimed to have sent me emails, but of course there were none. They never sent them. Nobody else reported issues getting emails through to me. They emailed me just fine to say they had received my order. The bottom line is that I would never recommend this company to anybody. They are dishonest. |

Given the difficulty to reach someone and the lack of a way to track an order, I will never use this company again. I still have not received my part and I have no way to check the status as no one ever answers the phone no matter what extension I select. There seems to be a general disreagard for my order. I know it's only a small purchase, but the lack of communication from UpgradeBay is unsatisfactory. |

Very impressed with the Customer Service/Tech/Sales support. We needed a new screen for a laptop, and they found the exact one we needed. We had been searching in vain everywhere for the right screen, but Upgrade Bay found it for us quickly. VERY SATISFIED with the way this worked out. |
